COVID Testing

All 7 of our locations have the capability to perform both the PCR test and the rapid test, but an appointment MUST be made, and you will HAVE to be seen by a medical provider. Rapid tests are ONLY performed at the discretion of the medical provider. We will ONLY be conducting in-house COVID testing on symptomatic patients.

Indications For Testing
  1. Symptoms of COVID-19 (fever, shortness of breath, muscle aches, sore throat, congestion)
  2. Known positive exposure (The recommend wait time is 5 days after exposure if asymptomatic and seeking testing)

Testing Options

RRHC has the capability to perform the rapid test and/or the PCR test – both of which, are a simple nasal swab. The rapid test results are available within 15 minutes. The PCR test is sent to LabCorp and the results are usually available within 24-72 hours via LabCorp's Patient Portal App or online at patient.labcorp.com. Minor children's results will be available after a parent or legal guardian creates an account, then adds them as a dependent.

Difference Between The Rapid Test & The PCR Test
The rapid test is most accurate on days 3-5 of symptom onset, and less accurate if tested after symptoms have been present for 7 days, OR asymptomatic. This test ONLY determines if you are infected at this point of time. Please note, it could be a false negative and the medical provider may recommend a PCR test.

The PCR test is a nasopharyngeal swab, which means it is a deeper collection. This test is more accurate and is recommended if asymptomatic, testing after exposure, or outside the recommended window for the
rapid test.
